1x6 Lisbon’s Ripper

6. Lisbon’s Ripper

In the early‑1990s Lisbon’s nightlife is shaken when the bodies of two young women are discovered in a derelict warehouse on the city’s outskirts. The victims show identical wounds and a chilling pattern that points to a serial offender the media dubs “the Lisbon Ripper.” The episode follows a small team of detectives from the Polícia Judiciária as they piece together forensic evidence, interview witnesses, and battle internal politics to track down a seemingly ordinary construction worker who leads a double life. Interwoven with archival news footage, courtroom excerpts, and interviews with the victims’ families, the dramatization shows how a methodical police investigation finally cracks the case, bringing the murderer to trial and exposing the broader social anxieties of a city in transition.
